FileToDrive is now GoFileDrop

Dear FileToDrive user,

Google are in the process of upgrading the Google Apps Marketplace and we are taking the opportunity to consolidate some of our Apps. As such FiletoDrive will be merging with our GoFileDrop solution (which provides the same and additional functionality).

As part of the Google Upgrade process your Google Apps administrator should shortly receive an email from Google informing you that the Application has been upgraded to use Oauth2 - this should automatically update your link in the universal navigation bar and seamlessly perform some other changes necessary for the transition.

There are some important things to not after this takes place:

The Application will now be called GoFileDrop (not FileToDrive) and will appear in your Google Menu with the new name.

If you have a paid subscription this will continue to work as expected.

This is an exciting update for FileToDrive users, GoFileDrop offers a superior integration with Google Drive such as:

  • The ability to capture data such as email, name and a message from the person uploading file(s)
  • Add the upload tool to a Facebook page you administrate
  • Improved folder integration, files no longer appear in the root folder following upload
  • All data captured from the uploader such as Message etc now appears in the Details area of the Google Drive file (see screen shot below)

Kind regards,

The SLR Software team
